The Vice President of India, C. P. Radhakrishnan, is set to undertake a two-day visit to Tripura starting this Saturday, with a packed itinerary showcasing both ceremonial and cultural engagements.
Preparations for the visit have already been finalized, with security arrangements intensified to ensure a smooth journey.
During his stay, the Vice President will pay homage to the martyrs at Albert Ekka Park, attend the 14th convocation ceremony at Tripura University, and participate in an interaction with women entrepreneurs at the international fairgrounds in Hapania. Additionally, he will visit the revered Mata Tripura Sundari Temple in Udaipur to offer his prayers.
In anticipation of his journey from Agartala MBB Airport to Tripura University, authorities conducted a final convoy rehearsal on Friday, ensuring all security and logistical protocols are in place. Photographers captured the elaborate drill, reflecting the meticulous planning behind the Vice President’s state visit.
In parallel, Tripura’s traffic administration cleared illegally parked vehicles along key city roads from Bidur Karta Chowmuhani to Colonel Chowmuhani, ensuring a smooth and congestion-free route. A senior DSP emphasized that no roadside parking will be allowed along the designated route from the airport to Amtali during the visit, underlining the priority given to safety and smooth traffic flow.
The Vice President is scheduled to conclude his visit on Sunday afternoon and will depart for Delhi, marking the end of an eventful and carefully orchestrated two-day trip to the state.
