Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha today said that the Har Ghar Tiranga program must be made successful to show respect to those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the country's independence and to protect it.

He said that the great ideals of sovereignty, unity, solidarity, and patriotism of the country must be revived by hoisting the national flag in every place of the state.

Dr. Saha said this while inaugurating the Tiranga Rally program on the occasion of Har Ghar Tiranga organized at the Ujjayanta Palace premises in Agartala today.

At the program, Dr. Saha said that in 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the Har Ghar Tiranga program as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

“This program is ongoing in this way. In the context of the Har Ghar Tiranga program, the Prime Minister's main objective was to further strengthen the spirit of patriotism. For this purpose, we are celebrating the Har Ghar Tiranga program. The issues that the Prime Minister puts before us are those we have never thought about. Through the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan, one of the goals is to pay tribute to those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and who have dedicated themselves to the country's freedom struggle. Such activities are being carried out to pay tribute to our national flag. Our tricolor national flag is the pride of each of us. Through this, patriotism is awakened in us. It is the duty of every citizen to give due respect and honor to this national flag,” said Dr. Saha.

He said that this tricolor national flag is a symbol of the sovereignty, glory, nationalist thought, patriotism, and great sacrifice of the country.

“Keeping this program in mind, the Har Ghar Tiranga program is being celebrated in three phases as per the instructions of the Center. In the first phase, this program is being implemented from August 2 to August 15. From August 2 to August 8, students of all schools and colleges have been involved in this program.
