Retired-Justice Arindam Lodh appointed chairperson of Tripura Human Rights Commission

Retired Justice Arindam Lodh, former Judge of the High Court of Tripura, has been appointed as the new Chairperson of the Tripura Human Rights Commission. The appointment was made by Tripura Governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu.

According to the official notification, Ex-Justice Lodh will serve a term of three years or until he reaches the age of 70, whichever comes earlier. 

His appointment is effective from the date he assumes office.

The Governor exercised his authority under Sub-section (1) of Section 22 of the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993, to make the appointment.

Ex-Justice Lodh retired recently from his judicial duties at the High Court of Tripura.
