Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Thursday announced that the name of Ram Pada Jamatia has been proposed as the Speaker of the Tripura Legislative Assembly during a meeting of the party’s legislative group.
Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister expressed confidence that Jamatia’s long political experience, dedication, and leadership would help strengthen and make the functioning of the Assembly more effective in the coming days.
“I firmly believe that his extensive political experience, commitment, and leadership will contribute significantly to strengthening the proceedings of the Assembly,” Saha said.
The Chief Minister also extended his personal congratulations and best wishes to Jamatia for success in his new responsibility.
The proposal was made during the legislative party meeting held this evening, where party leaders discussed key organisational and legislative matters.
