Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Tuesday expressed joy over the Bharatiya Janata Party’s strong performance in states such as West Bengal, Assam, and Puducherry, saying the party had secured results beyond expectations.

Addressing the media in Agartala, Dr. Saha said the BJP’s victories reflect the people’s faith in the party’s leadership and its commitment to development and good governance.

“We are delighted with the results coming from West Bengal, Assam, Puducherry, and several other regions. The BJP is registering victories across the country, even more than we had anticipated,” he said.

The Chief Minister also praised Himanta Biswa Sarma for his dedicated efforts toward Assam’s development. He expressed confidence that the state would continue to progress under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Later, in a post on X, Dr. Saha described the occasion as the beginning of a new phase of peace, stability, and development for Assam and the North-East under Modi’s leadership.

He congratulated the people of Assam on the formation of a BJP-led government in the state for the third consecutive term, calling the victory a symbol of public trust, development, and effective governance.

Dr. Saha also extended his best wishes to Himanta Biswa Sarma on taking oath as Assam Chief Minister for a second term and wished him success in carrying forward the state’s development journey.
