In a significant breakthrough, Tripura Police from Dharmanagar Police Station have successfully recovered nine stolen motorcycles and arrested the alleged kingpin of a theft racket.

According to police sources, the investigation began after a bike theft complaint (Case No. 25/2026) was lodged at the police station a few days ago. Acting swiftly on the complaint, officers launched a detailed probe that led them to the Anand Bazar area.

During a search operation in the locality, police recovered a total of nine stolen motorcycles, causing a stir in the area due to the scale of the recovery.

In connection with the case, the police arrested Ram Debnath, who is believed to be the mastermind behind the theft ring. He is a resident of West Tilthai Nowa Basa area and the son of Churamani Debnath.

As news of the recovery spread, many residents began flocking to the police station in hopes of reclaiming their stolen vehicles. Authorities have initiated the process of identifying the rightful owners of the recovered motorcycles.

The success of the operation has been appreciated by the district administration. North District Superintendent of Police, Avinash Rai, commended the efforts of the Dharmanagar police team.

Meanwhile, police officials stated that further investigation is underway to determine whether more individuals are involved in the racket.
