At least 22 passengers were injured after a passenger bus overturned near the headquarters of the Fifth Battalion TSR in Daluma on the Amarpur–Nutanbazar road of Tripura's Gomati District.
According to sources, the bus lost control and overturned in the area adjacent to the TSR headquarters. On receiving information about the accident, TSR ambulances and fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot and carried out rescue operations. The injured passengers were promptly rescued and taken to the Amarpur Subdistrict Hospital for treatment.
Hospital authorities confirmed that one of the injured passengers, whose condition is critical, has been referred to Gomti District Hospital for advanced medical care. The remaining injured are undergoing treatment at the Amarpur Subdistrict Hospital.
The exact cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained. Concerned authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the mishap.
