A sense of shock and concern has gripped the area after a student from the National Institute of Technology (NIT) reportedly went missing in Dumboor at Narikelkunj on Saturday morning.
According to sources, the youth has been identified as 20-year-old Abhinav Singh, a resident of Uttar Pradesh. He had visited Narikelkunj along with four friends for a short trip and stayed there overnight.
On Saturday morning, while taking a bath in the waterbody, Abhinav allegedly slipped and drowned. His friends immediately alerted the local authorities following the incident.
Upon receiving the information, police and rescue teams rushed to the spot and launched a search operation. Efforts are currently underway to locate the missing student.
