Founder of Tipra Motha Party Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma said that voters in the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections are making a choice that will shape the future of the next generation.

After casting his vote in Mandwi, West Tripura, he noted that voter turnout was encouraging—around 22% by 9 AM—and expressed hope that participation would continue to rise. He also emphasized his expectation for a peaceful polling process, highlighting Tripura’s tradition of high voter turnout.

He stated that he remains confident in the people’s decision, adding that voters will prioritize the interests of their children and future generations. According to him, safeguarding rights is essential for long-term survival and will be at the core of people’s choices.

Addressing concerns about violence, he remarked that there is no place for criminal elements in politics. Referring to the recent Takarjala incident, he said he would comment further after the elections, while criticizing the practice of giving political tickets to individuals with criminal backgrounds.
