A sense of unrest has gripped the Jampuijala area following the mysterious death of a youth at a local de-addiction centre.

According to reports, the deceased, identified as Naithok Debbarma, had been admitted to the rehabilitation facility a week ago. On the previous day, his family members were informed that his body had been found hanging inside the centre under unclear circumstances.

Upon receiving the information, police from Jampuijala Police Station rushed to the scene and recovered the body. It was later sent to Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital for post-mortem examination.

Preliminary findings suggest that the case may be a suicide. However, officials have not ruled out other possibilities and have launched a detailed investigation to determine the exact cause of death.

The incident has triggered tension and concern among local residents. Police sources stated that all aspects of the case are being thoroughly examined, and authorities of the de-addiction centre are also being questioned.

Officials added that the exact cause of death will be confirmed only after the post-mortem report is released.
