A wave of shock has swept across the capital following the mysterious death of a DRW (Daily Rated Worker) employed with the Tripura Handloom and Handicraft Development Corporation. The deceased has been identified as Mintu Debnath (54), a resident of Noyaniamura area.

On Tuesday morning, Mintu Debnath’s body was found hanging behind the Indranagar Handloom Office. According to local sources, he had gone out for his usual morning market visit, but a short while later, colleagues discovered his body hanging behind the office premises.

Police from GB Outpost were immediately informed. 

They arrived at the scene, recovered the body, and sent it to GB Hospital morgue for post-mortem examination.

It remains unclear whether the incident was a case of suicide or foul play, and an air of mystery surrounds the death. Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause, and both family members and co-workers are being questioned.

Meanwhile, upon hearing the tragic news, family members rushed to the spot and broke down in tears, grieving the sudden and shocking loss.
