A devastating fire broke out at a rubber warehouse and processing center in Madhuban ADC Village, Ward No. 2, in Anandabazar, Dharmanagar subdivision, causing losses estimated at nearly one crore rupees.

The incident occurred on the night of Republic Day, January 26, around 11 PM, at the warehouse owned by Preetam Nath, son of Nirmal Nath. By the time the first fire service team arrived, the flames had rapidly spread across the entire rubber processing center.

The exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined. Upon receiving the news, the Dharmanagar Fire Service personnel rushed to the scene and worked tirelessly to control the blaze. However, as the situation worsened, additional support was called in: two more units from Dharmanagar and one from Panisagar joined the efforts, totaling four fire service units.

After intense firefighting, the fire was finally brought under control around 2 AM. The blaze caused extensive damage to both the warehouse and the processing center, with losses estimated close to one crore rupees.
