In a significant administrative reshuffle, the Tripura government on Thursday ordered the transfer of 54 Officer-in-Charges (OCs) of various police stations across the state, including key postings in the capital city.
As part of the reshuffle, several prominent police stations in Agartala have witnessed changes in leadership.
Paritosh Das, OC of West Agartala Police Station, has been transferred and posted as OC of Amtali Police Station.
Inspector Rana Chatterjee OC of East Agartala Police Station, will take over as the new OC of West Agartala Police Station, replacing Das.
Inspector Subrata Debnath, who was posted at Jatrapur Police Station, will now serve as the OC of East Agartala Police Station.
Inspector Himadri Sarkar, the outgoing OC of Amtali, has been transferred to Sidhai Police Station. Prajit Malakar, who was serving as the in-charge of New Capital Complex Police Station, has now been appointed its full-time OC.
In the women’s police wing, Swasti Das, OC of West Women Police Station, has been posted to Bishalgarh Women Police Station, replacing Shiuli Das.
Other key transfers include Tapas Das, OC of Government Railway Police, who has been posted to Teliamura Police Station. OC of Kailashahar Police Station, Sukanta Sen Chowdhury, has been transferred to the Tripura Police Control Board (TPCB), and Subir Malakar, OC of Khowai Police Station, has been posted to the District Intelligence Branch (DIB), South Tripura.
The reshuffle is aimed at strengthening law enforcement efficiency and ensuring better policing across the state, according to senior officials.
