Voting for the High Court Bar Association election began at 9:00 a.m. today amid enthusiastic participation from members of the legal fraternity.
The polling process is being conducted in a peaceful and orderly manner under the supervision of the election management committee, which has put adequate arrangements in place to ensure smooth proceedings.
MLA Kalyani Ray exercised her franchise in the election, drawing attention to the significance of the event.
Election Officer S. C. Das stated that after the conclusion of voting, the ballot papers will be sealed and kept securely. Counting of votes is scheduled to begin on February 21, and preparations are underway to announce the results on the same day. A total of 1,103 voters are participating in the election, he added.
The election will determine the formation of the new executive committee of the High Court Bar Association. Since early morning, the premises of High Court of Tripura in Agartala witnessed a noticeable presence and active engagement of lawyers as they turned out to cast their votes.
