In a horrific incident, police have arrested five youths for allegedly abducting and gang-raping a 16-year-old girl. The arrests were made on Thursday afternoon by officers from the Baijal Bari Police Station.

According to the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Baijal Bari Police Station, Jugal Tripura, the victim's parents filed a complaint at the station around 11 AM on Thursday. They alleged that on Wednesday night around 9 PM, five youths forcibly took their minor daughter from her home.

The accused reportedly called the girl out of her house before taking her away by force. They then allegedly took the victim to a rubber garden behind the Labanya Choudhury Para School, where they committed the gang rape.

The police have identified and arrested all five accused. They are Bishal Debbarma (24), Ilens Deb Barma (22), Bapi Deb Barma (23), Khachang Deb Barma (22), Tusar Deb Barma (24). All the accused are residents of the Hatimara area.

on the complaint filed by the minor's parents, the Baijal Bari Police took swift action and apprehended the five suspects on Thursday afternoon. An investigation into the matter is currently underway.
