The Central Government has taken an initiative to improve the infrastructure of three traditional temples located in South Tripura District.
Former Chief Minister of Tripura and Member of Parliament Biplab Kumar Deb has expressed his sincere gratitude to Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat for supporting the proposal.
According to reports, the MP had earlier submitted a proposal to the Union Minister seeking necessary steps to begin infrastructure development at three temples: Jogmaya Kalibari in Belonia, Raj Rajeshwari Kalibari in Muhuripur, and Daityeshwari Kalibari in Sabroom. Following this proposal, the Centre has initiated the process to move forward with development work at these sites.
Once implemented, the initiative is expected not only to enhance the infrastructure of these temples but also to open up new opportunities for religious tourism in the region.
MP Biplab Kumar Deb expressed hope that with coordinated efforts between the Central and State governments, many more religious and historical sites across Tripura could be developed in the future, boosting tourism and preserving the state’s cultural heritage.
