In a swift and coordinated operation, Border Security Force (BSF) personnel rescued 22 civilians after a road accident near Jalabasti.

At around 0930 hrs, a civil vehicle (Jeep, Regn No. TR01 4489) carrying passengers from Jalabasti to Chawmanu skidded on a slippery road and fell approximately 50 feet off the roadside in the Area of Responsibility of BOP Jalabasti, 33 Battalion BSF, under Sector Panisagar.

Upon receiving information, the Company Commander promptly mobilised BSF troops and dispatched a rescue vehicle. All 22 passengers were safely extricated from the vehicle. Eleven individuals, including five women and six men, sustained injuries and were immediately transported to Chawmanu Hospital by 1015 hrs for medical treatment.

No fatalities were reported. Authorities lauded the timely and efficient response of the BSF, which ensured quick medical attention and prevented any loss of life.
