Assam Rifles organised a lecture on Women’s Literacy and Empowerment at Borobekra Higher Secondary School in Manipur on the occasion of International Literacy Day, with the aim of spreading awareness about the importance of education, empowerment and equal opportunities for women.

Around 50 students participated in the interactive programme, which focused on the transformative role of literacy in helping women become educated, self-reliant and active contributors to society.

During the session, students were encouraged to view education as a powerful tool for personal development, social progress and nation-building. The programme also highlighted the importance of creating equal opportunities for women and promoting greater awareness about their role in society.

The initiative reflects Assam Rifles’ continued focus on youth engagement, education and community empowerment, while strengthening its connection with local communities.

Through such people-centric initiatives, Assam Rifles continues to support efforts towards building an educated and empowered society and promoting peace, harmony and development in the region.
