In line with the spirit of upcoming International Yoga Day, Assam Rifles conducted a yoga session under the "Har Angan Yoga" initiative at Teliamura, Khowai, Tripura, on 20 May.

Themed “Yoga for One Earth, One Health,” the event emphasized the importance of a healthy mind, body and soul through the ancient practice of yoga.

A total of 61 participants, including 35 students and 26 troops of Assam Rifles actively took part in the session.

The event aimed to promote physical and mental well-being, spread awareness about the benefits of yoga, and encourage its adoption as a daily lifestyle practice.

The "Har Angan Yoga" initiative is a step towards making yoga more popular  across all segments of society and fostering a culture of holistic health and wellness. The event reflects Assam Rifles’ continued commitment to the welfare of both its personnel and the local communities.

A similar event was also organised at Bagbassa, Dharmanagar, North Tripura which also witnessed whole hearted participation from the locals. A total of 31 young children and 20 Assam Rifles personnel carried out yoga practice and promoted the inclusion of Yoga in daily life.
