Tripura Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Wednesday chaired a high-level review meeting at the State Secretariat to assess the progress of priority projects sanctioned for the Transport Department under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment (SASCI) scheme.

Senior officials from the Public Works Department, Transport Department, Rural Development Department, Tourism Department and Water Resources Department attended the meeting.

During the meeting, the Minister reviewed the implementation status of various high-priority projects approved under the SASCI initiative and took detailed updates from the officials concerned regarding the progress achieved so far.

The discussions focused on expediting the ongoing works and ensuring that the approved projects are implemented within the stipulated timeframe. The Minister also emphasised better coordination among the departments involved for the smooth execution of the projects.

The meeting was held as part of the government’s efforts to monitor the utilisation of funds under the capital investment assistance scheme and accelerate infrastructure development across the state.
