The Government of Tripura is stepping up its international investment engagement efforts as the Department of Industries & Commerce held high-level discussions with the Embassy of the Russian Federation ahead of the upcoming Destination Tripura Business Conclave 2026.

The meeting, chaired by Kiran Gitte, focused on strengthening cooperation across a wide range of sectors, including tourism, information technology, agro-processing, oil and gas, bamboo-based industries, healthcare, education, and emerging technologies.

As part of its global outreach strategy, the state government formally invited the Embassy of the Russian Federation to participate as the “Partner Country” in the Destination Tripura Business Conclave scheduled for 9–10 July 2026.

Officials noted that the initiative is aimed at positioning Tripura as a competitive investment hub in Northeast India by attracting international partnerships and encouraging sector-specific collaboration.

If finalized, the proposed partnership is expected to create new opportunities for trade expansion, technological exchange, and long-term economic cooperation between Tripura and Russian stakeholders.
