Tripura Pradesh Congress Committee president Asish Kumar Saha said the party has carried out a detailed review of the recently announced results of the TTAADC elections and the Dharmanagar by-election.
He informed that a meeting was held with all contesting candidates and election in-charges to analyse the outcomes and prepare a future strategy. The discussions also focused on building a roadmap ahead of the upcoming village council elections.
Saha said the party organisation is being strengthened across the state, adding that internal support and outreach are gradually improving. He also pointed out that nearly 25,000 new members have joined during the recent Youth Congress organisational exercise, indicating growing participation.
He further said that the Congress is continuing large-scale public welfare movements under the leadership of senior national leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, and similar programmes will be expanded in Tripura as well.
Commenting on the recent elections, Saha alleged that issues related to ethnicity and religion were used in a divisive manner during the TTAADC polls. He said such developments are not healthy for the state and emphasized that political efforts should instead prioritize development and public interest.
He added that the party will continue working to strengthen its organisational structure and intensify people-centric activities in the coming days.
