Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Monday directed Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha to initiate an inquiry into allegations made by Tipra Motha Party founder Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma.

Pradyot claimed that Gomati District Magistrate Tarit Kanti Chakma refused to meet him despite his repeated attempts.

An official from the Chief Minister’s Office stated that, after returning to the state from Delhi, CM Dr. Manik Saha summoned the Chief Secretary and instructed him to conduct a thorough investigation into the matter and submit a report at the earliest.

Late Sunday evening, Pradyot alleged that he had gone to the residence of Gomati DM Tarit Kanti Chakma for official purposes but was denied a meeting. “I have been trying to reach the DM for over a month, but my calls went unanswered. Even when I came in person for official discussions related to issues in Gomati district, he refused to meet me,” Pradyot said. “I don’t know what else to do in this situation.”
