Tripura Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha on Tuesday reiterated the state government’s commitment to strengthening healthcare services in Tripura, stating that doctors are working sincerely to deliver these services to the people.

Dr. Saha, who also serves as the Health Minister, made the remarks while inaugurating the newly constructed Health Council building—Dr. P. B. Memorial Bhavan—at Bidurkarta Chowmuhani.

The new facility brings together seven council offices under one roof. Previously scattered across various locations under the Health Department, these offices often posed challenges for applicants seeking registrations and other services.

“Earlier, applicants had to visit multiple offices for different registrations, which caused inconvenience. The decision to consolidate all council offices in one building aims to streamline operations and ensure smoother service delivery to health staff,” Dr. Saha said.

He added that this unified setup would also help doctors perform their duties more efficiently.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Additional Secretary of the Health Department Rajib Dutta, President of the State Branch of the Indian Dental Council Dr. Bholanath Saha, Vice President Dr. Partha Roy Chowdhury, and other senior officials.
