A tragic road accident occurred on Wednesday in the West Pilak Colony area of the Jolai Bari–Bilonia alternative national highway. A head-on collision between two motorcycles resulted in the immediate death of three young men at the scene.
The deceased have been identified as Mukesh Tripura (16), son of Swapan Tripura, a resident of West Pilak; Biplab Shil Sharma of Middle Pilak; and Prasanna Dutta of West Pilak.
Upon receiving the news, fire service personnel rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies of the three victims. They were taken to Jolai Bari Hospital, where doctors declared them dead.
Road accidents continue to rise across the state, claiming the lives of many young individuals every day. According to preliminary reports, the two motorcycles were traveling at high speed when they collided head-on. Both vehicles were left mangled, and the riders were thrown onto both sides of the road due to the impact.
With help from local residents, fire service personnel transported them to the hospital, but none could be saved. Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the incident.
