Panic spread in the area near the Kailashahar Court following a head-on collision between an electric auto-rickshaw and a motorcycle today.

According to reports, the accident occurred when an electric auto coming from the northern part of the town collided with a motorcycle heading towards the northern direction from the town. As a result of the collision, the auto driver, the bike rider, and two passengers of the auto were injured.

Sources said that there were a total of five passengers in the auto-rickshaw. Among them, the driver and one passenger sustained serious injuries, while the remaining three suffered comparatively minor injuries. Eyewitnesses identified the seriously injured auto driver as Abdul, a resident of the Maguruli area in the northern part of the town. The identities of the other injured persons are yet to be confirmed.

All the injured were rushed to Unakoti District Hospital for immediate medical treatment. Further details about the condition of the injured are awaited.
