An elderly woman was allegedly robbed while out on her routine morning walk in Kailashahar town on Thursday morning, triggering concern among local residents over rising incidents of theft and snatching in the area.

According to the victim’s son, his mother, Sabitri Das, had gone for her daily morning walk as usual. The incident took place in the D.K. Road area of the town when two young men riding a motorcycle without a registration number reportedly approached her. The suspects allegedly snatched the gold chain from around her neck and fled the scene before anyone could react.

The sudden incident left the elderly woman shocked and distressed. News of the robbery quickly spread throughout the locality, creating an atmosphere of fear and concern among residents.
