According to the victim’s son, his mother, Sabitri Das, had gone for her daily morning walk as usual. The incident took place in the D.K. Road area of the town when two young men riding a motorcycle without a registration number reportedly approached her. The suspects allegedly snatched the gold chain from around her neck and fled the scene before anyone could react.
