Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarma visited the Radhapur ST Girls' Hostel in the Ramchandraghat Assembly constituency after concluding party programmes on Sunday. During the visit, he reviewed the hostel's residential environment, educational standards, and infrastructural facilities, while also interacting with the students.
The minister expressed satisfaction with the academic performance of the hostel's residents. Of the four students who appeared for this year's Higher Secondary Examination, two secured First Division while the remaining two passed with Second Division. Similarly, among the ten students who appeared for the Secondary Examination, two achieved First Division and eight secured Second Division.
Debbarma praised the students for their dedication and credited the teachers and hostel authorities for their sincere efforts and disciplined management, saying the results reflected their collective commitment to quality education.
Highlighting the importance of education in social development, the minister reiterated the government's commitment to ensuring that students from remote and tribal areas have access to quality education, safe hostel accommodation, and essential facilities.
He congratulated all the successful students, teachers, and members of the hostel management for their achievements and wished them continued success in the future.
