Sensation gripped the Kunjaban area under Kalyanpur Police Station of Khowa district after the bodies of a young man and a married woman were found hanging side by side from the same tree on Wednesday morning.

According to police, the deceased have been identified as Haridas Pal (26), son of Bulu Pal, and Papiya Shil Pal (30), wife of Jiban Pal.

Local residents spotted the bodies hanging from a tree in a secluded rubber plantation and immediately informed the police. Officers from Kalyanpur Police Station rushed to the scene, recovered the bodies, and sent them to Kalyanpur Hospital for post-mortem examination.

Police have launched an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths. Preliminary findings suggest the incident may be linked to a personal relationship.
