Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha has reaffirmed the state government's commitment to assisting Manashree Chowdhury, a young girl diagnosed with the rare genetic condition Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA).
Speaking on the matter, Dr. Saha said that Manashree's family had met him during a recent Mukhyamantri Samipeshu programme and sought government intervention for her treatment. He informed that the administration has already initiated discussions with concerned officials and the family to assess the available options for providing the required support.
"The family met me during Mukhyamantri Samipeshu. We have taken the matter seriously and are working to identify the best possible solution. Today, we held further discussions with officials and the family to determine how the government can extend assistance," the Chief Minister said.
Dr. Saha emphasized that he is closely monitoring the case and assured that the state government will make every possible effort to facilitate Manashree's treatment. He added that all feasible avenues are being explored to ensure she receives the necessary medical care and support at the earliest.
