Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha today emphasized that the youth will play a pivotal role in shaping the future and becoming the driving force behind the country’s development.
Addressing the audience at the 17th annual Shishu Mela organized by the Naba-Angikar Social and Cultural Organization at Madhyapara in Baradowali, Agartala, Dr. Saha said that every child possesses unique talent, and it is the responsibility of society to nurture this potential. Platforms like the Shishu Mela, he noted, provide the ideal environment for fostering such talent.
Speaking at the inauguration of the blood donation and youth festival as part of the Mela, Dr. Saha described youth as one of the nation’s greatest human resources. “They will become the driving force for the development of the country in the future,” he added.
Highlighting the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda, the Chief Minister urged young people to draw inspiration from his thoughts, ideals, and consciousness. He stressed that the youth should work in unison with a patriotic spirit for the progress of the country.
Dr. Saha also pointed out that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is actively engaging with the youth through initiatives like the ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ program. “Under the Prime Minister’s leadership, the glory of India’s ancient educational centers is being restored. The goal is to develop the Indian economy into a $30 trillion economy by 2047. India has now become the fourth-largest economy in the world. The vision of building a ‘New India’ is guiding these efforts,” he said.
The Chief Minister further stated that the state government is committed to building a ‘New Tripura’ and that the state has been nationally recognized for implementing reforms across various sectors.
