In a significant development, two senior IPS officers of the Tripura cadre Rajiv Singh and Anurag have been empanelled for appointment to the rank of Director General (DG) and DG-equivalent posts in the Government of India.
According to an official order, Rajiv Singh, a 1993-batch IPS officer presently serving as the Director General of Police in Manipur, has been empanelled for DG/DG-equivalent posts at the Centre.
Meanwhile, Anurag, a 1994-batch IPS officer and the current Director General of Police, Tripura, has also been empanelled for appointment to DG-equivalent positions in the central government.
The empanelment marks a significant recognition of their distinguished service and paves the way for their potential elevation to key positions at the national level.
