Shock spread through the area after the body of a truck driver was discovered at a temporary camp near Sekerkot Railway Station in the Kamalasagar constituency in Tripura's Sepahijala District.

The deceased, identified as Lafasu Mog, a married young man from Jagbandhu Para, Gandacherra, Dhala District, had been working on the IOCL project in the area for the past month.

According to reports, on Saturday evening, after finishing his work, Mog parked his truck at the temporary camp, had dinner with colleagues, and went to sleep. The following morning, when other drivers noticed he had not woken up, they attempted to rouse him and found him unresponsive. Authorities were informed immediately.

Amtali police arrived at the scene on Sunday afternoon. Mog’s family also rushed to the site and were devastated to see him dead. The body was recovered and sent to Hapania Hospital morgue for a post-mortem examination.

The cause of death is currently unknown. Police have registered an unnatural death case and initiated a formal investigation. The body will be handed over to the family after the post-mortem report is completed.
