Tripura Transport and Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury today chaired a high-level review meeting to assess the progress of key projects under the Special Assistance to States for Capital Investment-2024-25.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary and Commissioner of the Transport Department, Chief Engineer of the Public Works and Rural Development Department, Chief Executive Officer of the Tripura Housing Board, and senior officials from the Transport Department across the state’s eight districts.

During the session, Minister Chowdhury reviewed the preparation of Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for the construction of new motor stands at Kalyanpur, Sidhai Mohanpur, Manubazar, Jatanbari, and Bishalgarh under the Special Assistance Scheme. He also discussed the submission of pledges of unoccupied land, including proper demarcation of land boundaries, the establishment of Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facilities at Sidhai Mohanpur, revenue collection targets for the financial year 2025-26, and the progress of ongoing enforcement operations.

Minister Chowdhury emphasized the importance of timely execution of these projects to enhance transportation infrastructure and services across the state.
