Tripura Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha on Tuesday said that the state is unlocking its vast potential with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Government of Tripura and Patanjali Yogapeeth Trust, Uttarakhand, aimed at collaboration and investment across multiple sectors.

Expressing his enthusiasm, the Chief Minister said he was thrilled to witness the MoU signing, which focuses on the development of the forest and agro-forest value chain, along with other key sectors of the state’s economy.

“This partnership will open new avenues of opportunity in various fields and significantly contribute to economic growth,” Dr. Saha said. He added that the collaboration aligns with the state government’s vision of promoting sustainable development while strengthening livelihoods and local industries.

According to officials, the agreement is expected to attract investment, encourage value addition in forest and agro-based resources, and generate employment opportunities in Tripura. The partnership with Patanjali Yogapeeth Trust is also seen as a step toward leveraging traditional knowledge, yoga, Ayurveda, and natural resource-based industries for holistic development.

The Chief Minister expressed optimism about working closely with Patanjali Yogapeeth Trust to boost the state’s economy and ensure sustainable and inclusive growth in the coming years.
