Tripura Tourism and Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury today met with Union Minister for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Jyotiraditya Scindia, in New Delhi today to discuss ongoing and upcoming tourism initiatives in the state.

Minister Chowdhury shared a detailed overview of the Tripura Tourism Department’s current projects and presented proposals for several new initiatives aimed at enhancing the state’s tourism potential. 

He requested financial and logistical support from the DoNER Ministry to implement these plans.

According to Minister Chowdhury, Scindia assured full cooperation from the Union Government in promoting tourism development in Tripura. The meeting was also attended by Uttam Kumar Chakma, Secretary of the Department of Tourism, and Prashant Badal Negi, Director of the Department of Tourism.

Expressing optimism about the future of Tripura’s tourism sector, Minister Chowdhury emphasized the state’s rich cultural heritage and scenic attractions as key drivers for growth and economic development.
