Tripura SC Welfare Minister Sudhangshu Das has expressed optimism that the newly formed government in Bangladesh will ensure justice for all citizens and put an end to the alleged torture, atrocities, and killings of Hindus in the neighbouring country.

On Tuesday, Tarique Rahman was sworn in as the Prime Minister of Bangladesh.

In a Facebook post, Minister Das congratulated Rahman on assuming office and said he believes that under his leadership, a democratic government will be strengthened in Bangladesh, where justice is upheld for everyone. He specifically voiced hope that the reported inhuman treatment of the Hindu community in Bangladesh would cease.

The Tripura Minister also appealed to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to facilitate the immediate release of Chinmaykrishna Das Prabhu, who, according to the Minister, is languishing in jail under a false case.
