To ensure smooth traffic movement during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Udaipur in Gomati district on September 22, the Office of the Superintendent of Police (SP), Gomati, has released a detailed traffic advisory outlining alternative routes and diversions. The Prime Minister is scheduled to inaugurate the beautification works of the Mata Tripura Sundari Temple premises.
In its communication to the District Magistrate and Collector, the SP’s office laid out specific traffic regulations for the day of the visit.
According to the advisory:
Vehicles traveling from South Tripura district towards Agartala will be diverted through Garjee–Tulamura–Kakraban–Melaghar–Bishramganj.
Traffic from Agartala to South Tripura must use the route via Bishramganj–Melaghar–Kakraban–Tulamura–Garjee.
For travel between Amarpur and Agartala, vehicles from Amarpur will be routed through Dropgate Market–Dhanisagar bank–Jail Road–New Town Road–Chanban Bridge, while vehicles from Agartala to Amarpur must pass via Chanban Subash Bridge–Central Road–Poultry Road–Dropgate Market.
Vehicles moving between Melaghar/Kakraban and Udaipur are to follow the Kishoreganj–Shilghati–Tepania route in both directions.
The district police have urged commuters to adhere strictly to the diversions to avoid congestion and ensure security arrangements during the Prime Minister’s high-profile visit.
