Director General of Tripura Police Anurag Dhankar on Monday visited Dhalai district as part of his ongoing state-wide tour to review the law and order situation.

In the evening, he arrived at the office of the Dhalai District Superintendent of Police in Jawharnagar and held a high-level meeting with top district police officials.

Present during the meeting were DIG (Northern Range) Rathi Ranjan Debnath, Dhalai SP Mihir Lal Das, SDPOs from various subdivisions, OCs of police stations, and other senior officers.

The DGP assessed the current law and order scenario and discussed strategies to strengthen the policing system at the grassroots level.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, DGP said he has been visiting different districts over the past few days to take stock of the situation on the ground.

 “The law and order condition in the state has seen significant improvement compared to last year,” he noted.

He further emphasized that the police administration aims to enhance public safety through increased cooperation with local communities.

“To prevent criminal activities and further improve the law and order situation, we seek the active support and cooperation of the people,” he added.
