Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha on Tuesday emphasized that a strong focus on public welfare and development is essential for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) to gain wider acceptance among people.

He made these remarks while presiding over the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Training Mahabhibhajan 2026 at the state BJP office in Agartala.

Dr. Saha stated that the training initiative aims to strengthen the party’s organizational structure at the grassroots, particularly up to the Mandal level. Inspired by the philosophy of Deendayal Upadhyaya, the program seeks to nurture capable, disciplined, and people-focused leadership across all levels of the party.

He expressed hope that the training will energize party activities and further reinforce the organization at the grassroots level.

Highlighting the importance of such initiatives, the Chief Minister noted that training programs are a regular feature of the BJP and are conducted annually. This year’s program will begin at the Mandal level, covering seven subjects outlined by the central leadership, along with discussions on state government development initiatives.

Subsequently, district-level training will include 12 subjects, followed by sessions at the state level. Training will also be organized at the booth level to ensure deeper outreach.

Dr. Saha reiterated that the teachings of Deendayal Upadhyaya stress prioritizing service to the nation, followed by the party, and then individual interests. He emphasized the importance of working for the most marginalized sections of society.

He also mentioned that the current training program is being coordinated by party spokesperson Subrata Chakraborty.

Concluding his remarks, the Chief Minister urged party members to internalize the training and translate it into meaningful public engagement, stating that genuine dedication to public service is key to earning people’s trust and support.
