Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha has directed the District Magistrate and the Directorate of Education to conduct a thorough investigation into the tragic and untimely death of Dipannita Pal, a Class II student of Khudiram Bose English Medium School.
Dr. Saha personally visited the home of the deceased student at Jogendra Nagar today, where he met the grieving family and expressed his heartfelt condolences.
Speaking to the media afterward, the Chief Minister said he had reviewed the situation closely.
“I have been monitoring the matter from the beginning. The untimely demise of young Dipannita Pal is extremely painful and heartbreaking. I visited the family today to offer my condolences and understand their concerns,” he said.
Dr. Saha added that his office had been in constant touch with the doctors at GB Pant Hospital while the child was under treatment.
“Despite the doctors’ best efforts, Dipannita could not be saved. I have instructed the District Magistrate and the Directorate of Education to investigate the circumstances leading to this tragic incident. Appropriate action will be taken once the report is received,” he assured.
He further said that the state government would extend full support to the bereaved family and provide all possible assistance during this difficult time.
