Tamal Majumder, IAS, has officially taken charge as the new District Magistrate of Unakoti.
He succeeds Dilip Kumar Chakma, IAS, who has been appointed as the Municipal Commissioner of Agartala Municipal Corporation.
Prior to this appointment, Majumder served as Additional Secretary in the Revenue and General Administration (AR) Department under the Government of Tripura.
In a farewell message, the officers and staff of the Unakoti district administration expressed heartfelt appreciation for Chakma’s tenure, highlighting his leadership, vision, and unwavering commitment to public service.
They noted that his efforts in advancing development, justice, and social welfare had left a lasting impact on the district and its people. His presence, they said, will be sincerely missed.
