Growing frustration is mounting among residents over the deplorable condition of the road connecting Briddhinagar, Kalinagar, and R.K. Nagar, which has reportedly suffered extensive damage due to the frequent movement of overloaded soil-carrying trucks.

Locals allege that heavy trucks transporting soil regularly ply the route with loads exceeding permissible limits, accelerating the deterioration of the roadway. The constant pressure from these vehicles has left several stretches riddled with potholes, cracks, and uneven surfaces, making travel increasingly difficult and hazardous.

The situation worsens significantly during the monsoon season. Rainwater accumulates in the damaged sections, creating muddy and waterlogged patches that pose serious challenges for commuters. School and college students, patients, office-goers, and motorists are among those most affected by the deteriorating road conditions.

Residents claim that despite repeated complaints and the road's worsening state, no substantial repair work has been undertaken by the concerned authorities. They fear that continued neglect could lead to major accidents and further inconvenience for thousands of daily commuters.

Speaking to the media, local residents urged the administration to take immediate steps to repair and upgrade the road. They also called for strict enforcement of regulations on soil-laden trucks, including checks on overloading, speed restrictions, and regular monitoring to prevent further damage.

Warning of stronger protests in the future, residents said they would be compelled to launch a larger movement if their demands remain unaddressed. The focus now shifts to whether the administration will act swiftly to restore the road and provide relief to the affected public.
