In a significant administrative move, the Tripura Police Headquarters on today issued an order transferring and posting 16 police officers including Officer-in charges across the state. The reshuffle comes into effect immediately.
According to the order (PHQ Order No. 22/2026) issued by the Reserve Section of Police Headquarters, inspectors and sub-inspectors have been shifted between police stations, districts, and specialized branches such as the Tripura Police Communication Battalion (TPCB) and District Intelligence Branches (DIB).
Among the notable transfers, Inspector Shibu Ranjan Dey, Officer-in-Charge of Belonia Police Station, has been posted to the District Intelligence Branch, North District. Inspector Sanjit Sen has been moved from North District to Belonia Police Station as OC. Several other inspectors have been reassigned as Officers-in-Charge of police stations including Fatikroy, Lefunga, Panisagar, Kadamtala, Dharmanagar, and Airport Police Station.
Sub-Inspectors, including UB cadre officers, have also been transferred to new postings across Unakoti and West Tripura districts.
The order was issued with the approval of the Director General of Police, Tripura, and signed by the Assistant Inspector General of Police (Establishment). Copies of the order have been forwarded to senior police official and district SPs for necessary action.
Officials said the transfers are part of routine administrative measures aimed at strengthening policing and improving efficiency across the state.
