West Agartala Police have arrested a suspected habitual thief and recovered a stolen motorcycle and a bicycle from his possession. The accused will be produced before the court on Saturday, where police are expected to seek his remand, Officer-in-Charge (OC) Sanjit Sen said.

According to OC Sanjit Sen, a motorcycle was stolen from in front of Melarmath on August 17. Following the theft, the motorcycle owner, Alok Chakraborty, lodged a complaint at West Agartala Police Station.

Based on the complaint, police launched an investigation and conducted searches in different areas. During the investigation, police arrested three persons from the Biturban area on Friday night. A stolen motorcycle and a bicycle were subsequently recovered from their possession.

OC Sanjit Sen said further investigation into the case is underway. The accused will be produced before the court on Saturday, with police seeking custody for further questioning and investigation.
