NIA Raids Multiple Locations in Tripura Over Fake Document Racket; No Arrests Yet

The National Investigation Agency (NIA), Guwahati Branch, in coordination with the Tripura Police, carried out raids across several locations in Unakoti District early Wednesday morning.

The operation reportedly began around 3:00 a.m.

According to intelligence sources, the raids were conducted to trace two individuals — Paritosh Shil (45), a resident of Bhagyapur (Ward No. 03) under Kailashahar Police Station, and Ranu Pal (42), from the Nidevi area under Kumarghat Police Station.

Preliminary reports suggest that both are suspected of involvement in a fake document fabrication racket.

An official source said that, so far, no arrests have been made. “The search and investigation are still underway under the supervision of senior NIA and district police officials,” the source added.

Further updates are awaited as the operation continues.
