Ahead of the upcoming visit of National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) Chairman Dr. Meenesh C. Shah to Tripura on June 20, a preparatory and review meeting was convened under the initiative of Ratan Ghosh, Chairman of the Gomati Cooperative Milk Producers' Union Limited.
The meeting was attended by members of the Union’s Board of Directors and Neeraj Kumar Chandal, Director of the Animal Resources Development Department. Participants discussed various key issues aimed at ensuring that Dr. Shah’s visit is successful, productive, and meaningful.
Special emphasis was placed on strengthening the cooperative-based dairy production system in Tripura, increasing milk production, and exploring opportunities for the overall development of the state’s dairy sector. Discussions also focused on the necessary preparations and action plans for the upcoming visit.
Speaking on the occasion, Ratan Ghosh said that the visit of NDDB Chairman Dr. Meenesh C. Shah is of great significance for Tripura’s dairy industry. He expressed confidence that through coordinated efforts by all stakeholders, the visit would yield positive outcomes and contribute to the sector’s growth.
Ghosh further stated that the Union remains committed to empowering dairy producers across the state, strengthening cooperative activities, and ensuring better facilities and opportunities for farmers associated with the dairy sector.
Senior officials and board members of the Gomati Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union Limited also discussed organizational arrangements and other necessary measures related to the visit. It is expected that Dr. Shah’s visit will open new avenues for the development and modernization of Tripura’s dairy sector.
