Former Tripura Chief Minister and Lok Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb on Thursday met Union Minister for Housing & Urban Affairs and Power, Manohar Lal Khattar, to review the progress of the Lighthouse Project in Tripura.
During the meeting, Deb stressed the urgency of completing the project at the earliest and requested the Centre to allocate additional funds to accelerate its implementation.
Highlighting the significance of the initiative, Deb said the Lighthouse Project in Tripura—part of a national scheme comprising six such projects across the country—is designed to provide modern, sustainable housing for 1,000 families.
“This project is not just about housing. It represents a leap toward adopting cutting-edge, eco-friendly construction technologies that can redefine public infrastructure in the region,” Deb stated.
