Tripura's Bishalgarh witnessed a tragic incident on Road Safety Day, triggering panic and tension in the area. Today afternoon, a motorcycle collided head-on with an escort vehicle of Minister Shukla Charan Noatia, resulting in the death of the biker.

According to reports, a road safety and anti-child marriage awareness rally was being held at Lockdown Bazaar under Bishalgarh police station. The rally was jointly organized by Bishalgarh, Madhupur, and Women Police Stations under the direction of the District Superintendent of Police. Students from various schools participated in the program, which was attended by the District Superintendent of Police, the District Magistrate, and several senior administrative officials.

Eyewitnesses stated that during the event, the minister’s escort vehicle collided with an oncoming motorcycle. Due to the impact, the biker was thrown onto the road and sustained critical injuries. Police and administrative officials immediately rushed the injured man to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

The deceased has been identified as Amar Chand Chowdhury, a resident of East Lakshmibil area in Bishalgarh. He was a former headmaster by profession.

Following the incident, news of the accident spread rapidly, leading to an atmosphere of fear and unrest in the locality. An investigation into the incident is underway.
