The Mizoram Excise and Narcotics Department seized 323 grams of heroin from three locations
The Mizoram Excise and Narcotics Department in collaboration with the CADs of the Central YMA, and Assam Rifles on Monday seized 35 grams of heroin from the possession of Vanlalrinawma (22), a resident of Aizawl’s Zarkawt locality.
Upon further investigation, they also seized 253 grams and apprehended two women involved identified as Agnes Lalrempuii (23), currently residing at Bawngkawn Venglai; and Lalngaihpuii (31), of Diltlang, Champhai District.
135 grams of heroin was also seized in connection to these apprehended individuals.
All the apprehended have been booked under the ND&PS Act and were produced in court. If convicted, they could face a jailtime of 20 years with a fine of 1 to 2 lakhs.
